Galloping Across Golden Grasslands — West Beijing Horse-Riding Team Building

On September 30, 2025, all students and faculty of UIBE International College's 2+2 program travelled to the West Beijing Grasslands for an autumn horse-riding team-building outing — part of the "Cultural Practice Experience Series."

The grasslands, bordering Guanting Reservoir and Haituo Mountain, were already golden by late September. After professional safety training, the group set off on horseback.

Activities were split into a leisure ride along gentle slopes with reservoir views and an afternoon team relay with checkpoint challenges. Despite different languages, students collaborated smoothly, cheering together at the finish line.

"My first time riding on a grassland — the golden grass stretching out like an endless carpet was so healing!" said Student Li.

The day concluded with a shared meal of traditional Northern Chinese dishes — iron-pot stew and wild vegetables — followed by conversations about riding experiences and outdoor traditions from each student's home country.

The College noted that such cultural-practice events form an integral part of its talent-development framework, with more cross-cultural experiential activities planned ahead.
